If you definitely want to know what the future holds, consult a psychic. Just don't consult more than one. We did, and now we're more confused than ever. That is, unless all of these psychics are right. But that can't be… that would mean George Bush would have to lose the election and get elected, as if that could happen.

We asked some of the Bay Area's top psychics to look far into the future (in some cases, as far as December 2004) and tell us what they see. Here are their predictions:

Annette:I see it being a wonderful time for entrepreneurs to form new ideas, new companies and new products. I see Bush being re-elected, and I feel they will find Bin Laden this year.

Another terrorist attack in the U.S.?
Annette: I do not see one this year, or any after that.

Will J. Lo find true love?
Annette: I think she’s very sad, and I think it will be several years before she finds somebody. I see a lot of depression there.

1. Annette remarked, “Arizona cactus will bloom!  Don’t know what that means, but that is what I am seeing!”

CONFIRMATION

“Cactus Blooming” In Arizona.  I.B.M. has moved a large research and development project to Tucson.  The code name of the products being developed are “Cactus.”  The developers talk of Cactus blooming in Arizona.

Annette Martin received a phone call from a friend, Gary Robinson from Montana. He said he was going to making a trip up to Oregon and Washington, around the 18^th of May and would like to stop by California on his way back.

I immediately saw a picture of a mountain exploding and these words came spurting out of my mouth, “Gary, don’t take the inland road, because Mt. St. Helen’s is going to erupt!!  There will be several earthquakes as well!  You will be hurt if you take the inland road, go by the ocean instead and you will be OK!”

“Where is Mount St. Helen’s, Gary?”  I am not familiar with Oregon or Washington, it is going to be a big explosion and I see ash everywhere!” I stammered. 

“Wow, it ‘s in Washington and I will drive right by it.  Don’t worry, Annette, I will go along the ocean and keep my eyes open.  Thank you.  I’ll call you from Washington.”

San Jose Mercury News:  “Mt. St. Helen’s Erupts, Sunday morning, May 18, 1980, – A Sleeping Volcano”at 8:30 am, preceded by two earthquakes. Shaken by an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, the north face of this tall symmetrical mountain collapsed in a massive rock debris avalanche. Nearly 230 square miles of forest was blown over or left dead and standing. At the same time a mushroom-shaped column of ash rose thousands of feet skyward and drifted downwind, turning day into night as dark, gray ash fell over eastern Washington and beyond. The eruption lasted 9 hours, but Mount St. Helens and the surrounding landscape were dramatically changed within moments.

Mt. St. Helen’s will erupt again within the month.  Ash is radioactive.  Saw mud and dirt gathering together and making big balls and raining down.  Mt. Hood is going to start shaking.  Saw many, many earthquakes.

I am having fears about a police action in the South American countries.  As I am driving to my office I can feel some mixing of feelings and stirring of the pot down there.  They seem to be itching for some action, to vent their anxiety.  I have a sick, heavy feeling that we are preparing for a Military Action with our American boys involved. Everything feels to quiet, that is with the U.S. Government.

England declares war on the Argentine’s on the Falkland Islands.  Several ships sunk by the Argentines and may lives were lost.  This lasted several months before being resolved.

August 4, 1982

Annette Martin kept having this vision for almost a week, like a movie playing over and over when she tried to go to sleep.  She knew that calling Washington D.C. wouldn’t do any good as they would see her as some crack pot Psychic from California.  So Annette announced it on her Radio Show in Reno, Nevada August 4, 1982.  Interestingly enough many callers called into the show trying to help figure out what the vision was all about.  Not until the fateful day a month later on Sept 14^th, did we really know what the vision meant!

Annette saw Arab’s and then a large wall.  In front of the wall where a line of elephant’s, trying to push through the wall.  To the right side were a large group of Ram’s, coming up to the wall also.

Brown dirt all over now.  Blood spots on the wall!  Wailers, wailing, women in black crying and wailing.  Jews defeated!  Saw large tanks with big teeth on the bottom stomping people into the ground.

This will spark riots in this country.  The Jews will feel persecuted again, like the gas chambers, their paranoia of all being riled will ravage this country.  The U.S. Jews marching down the street wanting liberation and freedom for their people.

U.S. Fighters, (airplanes) put into service.  She saw the airplanes the night before and didn’t understand what they were doing.

There are a bunch of dogs yapping at the hoofs of the Rams. 1-2-4-7.

September 14^th, 1982   - Lebanon Massacre

– Several thousand people murdered.  Tanks were used to cover up the bodies. At least 700 Palestinian refugees were slaughtered at the camps; some estimates run to more than 2,000. Among the dead were women, children and the elderly, some of whom were tortured, disfigured or raped before they were mowed down with machine-gun fire.

Israel Defense Minister Ariel Sharon testified that he let Lebanese Militiamen into Palestinian camps in West Beirut without prime minister Menachem Begin’s knowledge and then failed to act quickly to stop the slaughter of hundreds of civilians.

Mr. Sharon masterminded Israel's disastrous invasion of Lebanon in 1982.  As defense minister he sent the Israeli army all the way to Beirut, a strike which ended in the expulsion of Yasser Arafat's Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) from Lebanon.

The move stopped the PLO using Lebanon to launch attacks against Israel, but also resulted in the massacre of hundreds of Palestinians by Lebanese Christian militiamen in two Beirut refugee camps under Israeli control.

Tricky thing, the future. just when think you've got it nailed, it starts changing again, like hemlines or tectonic plates. Why? Because we, at least a few of us, are not visionaries. We see but we do not see.

Luckily, some do, and they can usually be found on late-night television on UHF channel 67. So as the new calendar blooms, Outside has convened a crackerjack team of psychic prognosticators from around the globe and the dial, and focused their prescience for our own selfish ends. All but one of these clairvoyants have graced our pages in past years, which should be comforting news for everyone--well, except for Newt Gingrich, Kevin Costner, and as usual, jumpy seismologists. Let's meet the seers!

A syndicated radio psychic from Campbell, California, Martin is making her first appearance on Team Tea Leaf. Her show, Your Psychic World, is heard on as many as five radio stations across the nation. On whether Bigfoot will make his debut on national television: "We'll see more of him. There will be more sightings. They're authentic, you know. Let's go out and look for him."

On those earthquakes: "And I'm feeling earthquakes. I'm feeling the worst will be in Baja California. Maybe up to San Diego. Prepare for the worst. Oh, and we're going to have a killer volcano. Yes, I'm feeling that the United States is going to see a lot of wild activity. Winds and storms, things like that."

On Picabo Street's downhill prospects: "She is going to do quite well, but there could be an accident. I see her...falling." 

PREDICTIONS  1998 

The year of 1998 is ruled by Aquarius, the sign of Revolution.  1998 is a nine year – the last of the cycle.  Nine represents the end of one period and the start of the next.  A “Nine” year is a year to clean out baggage from all areas of our lives and heal relationships.  Many things that no longer work, in personal lives or social systems, fall away.  Marriages that cannot be mended, end.  The universe is moving toward the new, fresh start of a “One year- and it will shed what must be shed.  Those who resist this cleansing vibration will feel the effects of their resistance.   

During 1998 and for the next few years we will be seeing an undertone of belligerence and toughness emerging among nations.  As we move into 1999 this will increase, and peace-making will be a major challenge.  We need to choose our causes wisely and compassionately.     

CONSCIOUSNESS:

The New Age, individuality, high tech, and reform will be the “in” thing.  We will fight for social justice and the freedom of the individual.

BUSINESS:

Being putting a great deal of emphasis on profits from our businesses it will give us a new way to put emphasis on the human being.

NASA:

A national debate will come about via our space program, in dealing with nuclear power in space.  Great concerns over the use of Plutonium being used in the space program will be in the forefront of this debate.  Nuclear waste and the obvious dangers of nuclear power in space will be other hot issues.

DISCOVERIES:

Discoveries and inventions will emerge from around the globe similar to the time period around 1891 when radios, automobiles and airplanes were invented.

May and June will bring new technology breakthroughs and a new discovery will be found to treat the immune system, which directly affect the Aids virus.

WEATHER:

Prepare for severe weather especially in the western United States, Europe, Afghanistan and India will be hit hard.  The U.S. will have a tremendous amount of rain and flooding across the country.  All of this strange weather will create a loss of many crops due to these natural catastrophes, from cold, rain and ice.  Billions of dollars will be lost, but it is not a time to panic.  The American economy is strong and resilient and will recapture its losses.

SCIENCE:

Medicare fraud investigations, and campaign finances will be highlighted in the newspapers.  We will see major strikes as well as mass slowdowns in numerous industries as well as the government.

EARTHQUAKES & VOLCANOES:

New Jersey and Pennsylvania will have some seismic activity around August.  Palm Springs will have a jolt measuring around 8.0 probably around September, which will affect San Diego and L.A.

The dormant volcanoes Mount Fuji and another in the Pacific Ocean will erupt, quite un-expectantly.

U.S.:

President Clinton will be facing enormous legal attacks threatening to undermine his position throughout early 1998.  There could be a threat to his personal safety in the Spring.

Vice President Gore will shine and speak out between January 30^th and April.

On a national level there is an indication that prosecuting and defense attorneys will be found illegally and unethically exchanging information before trials begin.  Executives in both state and federal legislative offices will “walk through fire” during this period.  The general public will feel confused and unforgiving.

Starting in February governments around the world will leak sensitive communications between themselves and the U.S. State Department, which will blow up into a great media scandal.  The U.S. government needs to be careful and not say the wrong thing.

The U.S. military will go to great extremes to redo it’s gender bias.

President Clinton needs to be careful and not make a fateful error between the months of June and July.

On the positive side, May and June look like money is on it’s way.  There will be a financial leap forward.

Late Fall, October and November will be a time where the U.S. realizes that we have shortages, supplies that were not stockpiled.

THE WORLD:

Troubled spots such as Bosnia, Iraq, Iran and Israel will see power shifts.  The U.S. could be called into Israel to help control the peace process in late March or early April.  Travel to Israel will be very difficult and possible halted for several months.

An unforeseen accident that will create an awareness of nuclear danger.

Beginning in February we could see a militaristic upheaval in Nicaragua and escalating between May and July. The issues will be land dispositions inherited from the Sandinistas.  All of this tension could include Costa Rica as well.

Terrorism will rock Paris in the late Spring.

During April and May there will be a great deal of negativity in the world.  Expect the worst, for it will surely happen.  Avoid travel by sea and air during this time. 

Treaties between countries will be broken and there will be danger to American forces that will be sent to foreign soil by both land and air.

The foreign police venture will create doom and ruin for this mission.

We will see sudden shifts in the military, security, money, power and health that will be difficult to resolve around the world.  Japan will have a great deal of chaos during the Spring and is moving towards a social revolution and new constitution beginning in the Spring of 1999.

By the month of August we will see the military problems come to an end.

Mexico’s President Zedillo will have many personal hardships. The Mexican people will be up in arms and demand to be heard which will create many new directions for Mexico.  We could see a revolution in this country.

Beginning in August two dark haired women will be in the news constantly.

By the end of the year international relations will have calmed down but it could get nasty between foreign leaders and the American government.
